Boudoir Shoot

This was my first boudoir shoot and I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of working with a gorgeous model.  She was a true natural in front of the camera and her features are amazing to shoot.  She doesn't take a bad picture.  I wanted the feel of the shoot to be tasteful, sexy, classy and soft.  The back light illuminated the curves of her body and created a softness only natural light can create. I am lucky enough she allowed me to share some of the less revealing pics because this has to go down as one of my favorite photo sessions.  You don't have to be naked to be sexy, no matter what a  woman looks like if she's CONFIDENT, she's sexy! : )

A Family of 3

 I met this family through a dear friend and I am ever so grateful I can call them friends. We had an adventurous evening exploring along the trails of the American river and snapping away. The dad was heading back to Afghanistan the following day and I feel honored that they asked me to document their family at such a memorable time in their lives. Thank you so much for serving our country, no words can express my gratitude and gratefulness for all you are doing (along with all the other men and women serving). They are a family filled with love, laughter and an energy that was beautiful to capture.

Two Little Naturals

These two little people photographed below were incredible naturals in-front of the camera.  They made it very difficult for me to decipher which were my favorite shots when getting ready to edit.  The shoot was done in the sun room of my home where there is great natural light to work with.  The hair piece that I made for this shoot inspired the lace and the light yellow color scheme.  I wanted simple, yet classic.  There was a lot of love put into this shoot and I hope they will cherish the moments I captured.  Thank you so much for being apart of something I enjoy so much and giving me the opportunity to capture your babies.

Happy 10 YEARS

I've known my friend photographed below for the past 2 years, but I feel like I've known her forever.  Our kids went to preschool together and ever since we met we have pretty much been like peas and carrots.  We have a great time together and so do our kids.  I've photographed her boys before, but NOW it was her turn.  Thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special time in your life.  I'm really happy for you both.  Wishing you all the best with your engagement and beyond. Cheers to your 10 year Anniversary and many, many more. LOTS of LOVE!   PS. She's not a real fan of the camera, but after this session you'd never know it!  

Little Cousin Came to Visit

        Brian's cousin and family came to visit from Colorado.  We had a blast catching up for the long Memorial day weekend.  I have been really bad about posting pictures on my blog and keeping it updated due to the convenience of uploading and sharing on Facebook. This little guy inspired me to get back into the grove of things.  Hopefully I can pick up the pace.  For now I am just enjoying life, enjoying capturing my kids and living the day to day.  This little guy reminded me how time really does fly.  Probably one of the main reasons I haven't taken my photography hobby to the next level because first and foremost I am a MOM!  One of the hardest most challenging jobs I have EVER had the honor of experiencing. Congrats to our new addition to the family.  He is BEAUTIFUL!
